January is coming up FAST! We want to make sure you mark your calendars for January 2nd. Hopefully, we won't have too many people out of town from the holidays. But we want to do our best to stay on track with the first Saturday of the month being our Pik Tripper day.
In January, we plan to stay close to home. We will be visiting a section of Fort Worth that is full of history and charm. Of all the historical landmarks in Fort Worth, THIS is one of the most recognized areas in Texas. The Fort Worth Stockyards are not only rustic and classic, but many of the original structures are still standing. This makes the Stockyards a unique part of Fort Worth, considering all the construction and renovations that take place on a daily basis.
Come see Cowtown, as you've never seen it before. That's right! We're going underground!!! This won't be your typical Cowtown trip!

the $2.50 cupcake
To get in the spirit for the November pik trip to Turner Falls, Oklahoma, johnbrooks and I took our own quick 'pik trip' to the hill country of Texas on Oct 30th. Lo and behold a little ol' Airstream trailer by the side of the road in Travis county, offering amazing cupcakes of many styles and flavors! October Pik Tripper - Deep Ellum
For our "October Pik Tripper", we visited Deep Ellum in Dallas, TX. What a GREAT urban setting! Vacant buildings, graffiti'd walls, shabby diners, reminiscent of a community that was... There is no shortage of unique people in Deep Ellum. They all have a story.
In attendance were THE Tammy Brooks and Erica Payne, along with Pete Lacker, Tanja Peterhans Flynn, Katie Davidson, JR Barbee, Robin Weerts, Nikki "Keeks" Martin, Michael Cortez and his trusty Sidekick.
